Notes for LT. COL. GEORGE Summers:
George served in the Revolutionary War. Applied for pension (W6606) 15 June 1818, age 55. C alled "Rowdy George". He enlisted in Caswell Co NC in Capt Tilman Dixon's and Capt Johnsons C os. Children in 1820 were Rebecca; Daniel; Sarah; and Mary Ann. Wife Mary must have reapplie d later- said she was age 77 in 1843 and living in Loudoun Co, and the widow of George summer s late of Fairfax Co.
